The much anticipated ISO 45001:2018 standard was published today.
The changes from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001 mainly address the new Annex SL structure for all ISO Management system standards with additional changes in the following key areas:

1. External and Internal Issues        
2. Control or “Influence”/ broader scope   
3. Process Interaction        
4. Additional Leadership requirements         
5. OH&S Opportunities   
6. New documentation requirements 
7. Added detail on methods / capabilities  
8. Communications / Coordination
9. Planning / Changes        
10. More detailed requirements where there is already custom and practice
11. Participation/Consultation

Advanced Certification will be hosting a number of seminars on the ISO 45001 standard over the next few months including a Saturday event at the Brightside Cricket ground on the 11th August.

Following a successful witnessed audit, UKAS have now completed the extension of scope for Advanced Certification to include the full scope of all Rubber and Plastics manufacturing for ISO 9001.

The AC scope now covers the entirety of IAF EA Code 14 that comprises of:

Manufacture of rubber tyres and tubes; retreading and rebuilding of rubber tyres
Manufacture of other rubber products 
Manufacture of plastic plates, sheets, tubes and profiles 
Manufacture of builders ware of plastic 
Manufacture of plastic packing goods 
Manufacture of other plastic products 

Further Extensions to scope are expected to be completed very soon in the disciplines of Environmental Management and Occupational Health and Safety Management.

It is with regret that Advanced Certification Limited has been forced to terminate the operating agreement with PT Prima Registrar Internasional (AC Indonesia).

It is apparent that the Directors of PT Prima Registrar Internasional have been culpable in the issuing of counterfeit AC and UKAS certificates.

If you have received an Advanced Certification certificate from PT Prima Registrar Internasional that is not one of the 3 certificates above you should consider this to be invalid.

Advanced Certification Limited is aware that from September until December of 2017 the company Electro Meter Corporation was making use of the UKAS Accreditation mark on Calibration Certificates.

Electro Meter Corporation is ISO 9001:2015 Certified (issued by Advanced Certification) but is not UKAS Accredited.

This matter has now been resolved however any Calibration Certificates issued by Electro Meter Corporation that may include the UKAS logo are incorrect and the Calibration is not UKAS accredited.

FDIS 45001:2017 has been published today and is available from BSI (https://shop.bsigroup.com/ProductDetail?pid=000000000030367852). Advanced Certification is currently reviewing the standard and will provide guidance to customers on the Migration process in the next few weeks

After a hard weekend of work we are all moved in to the new office

Advanced Certification is expanding our offices in the UK, currently the decorators are putting the finishing touches in place

Following the recent ISO/PC 283's Working Group 1 (ISO/PC 283/WG1) meeting in September it was determined that that an FDIS stage would need to be completed for ISO 45001.

This FDIS has now been completed and is in the process of translation with the publication date set for the 30th November 2017.

The FDIS ballot is now scheduled to start on 30th November 2017 and to be completed on 25th January 2018.

​If the FDIS ballot is successful, there will then be a short period of final preparation of the text, before ISO 45001 is published in February 2018.
